Acceptance: By entering the Site and/or performing any action thereon, you declare that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy, which constitute a binding agreement between you and the Company. If you do not agree, you are requested to exit the Site.
User Types: These terms apply to:
Guest / Visitor: A user browsing the Site without registering.
Registered User: A student or participant with an active account.
Changes to Terms: We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy at our sole discretion at any time. Any material change will be posted on the Site, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of these changes.
Account Setup: To use the Online Courses, you must open a user account and choose a unique username and password.
Confidentiality: You agree not to disclose or share your account access information with any third party for any reason.
Accuracy: You confirm that all information provided by you (name, email, etc.) is accurate, current, and complete. Failure to comply may result in termination of your use.
Educational Partners: Any academic credit or certification obtained through an "Educational Partner" (e.g., a university) is granted solely by that Partner. Educo bears no responsibility for such recognition.
As a condition of access, you agree:
No Cheating or Harassment: You will not harass other students, cheat on assignments or exams, or share solutions (unless collaborative submission is permitted).
Prohibited Content ("Unauthorized Content"): You shall not post, upload, or transmit any content, communication, or information that:
Involves invasion of privacy, fraud, defamation, or threats to others.
Contains viruses, Trojan horses, or other harmful components.
Infringes upon copyrights, patents, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
Contains pornographic or sexually explicit material, or content related to minors.
Promotes racism, discrimination, or illegal activity.
Prohibited Use: You are prohibited from exploiting any part of the Services for commercial purposes (except as expressly permitted) or performing reverse engineering, decompilation, or other attempts to access the source code.
Ownership of Content: All content available on or through the Services (video lectures, code, text, trademarks, "The Content") is the property of Educo and/or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Limited License: Educo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Services, including the Content, solely for the purpose of personal participation in the Online Courses.
Educational Content: This material may be subject to Creative Commons (CC) license terms. Commercial use (selling, renting, providing paid instruction) of this content is strictly prohibited.
User Content: For any content you submit (e.g., forum posts, translations), you grant Educo a worldwide, irrevocable, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to use, distribute, reproduce, and modify that User Content for any purpose (including commercial).
Payment: You must maintain a valid payment method and agree to pay all applicable fees for purchased Services.
Subscription: Subscriptions are typically billed monthly and renew automatically until canceled in your account settings. Failure to pay may lead to subscription termination.
Refunds: Educo does not guarantee refunds for fees and charges related to your subscription, including for periods of partial or non-use, unless explicitly stated otherwise (e.g., for Sponsored Services).
Free Trial: Free trial periods are limited. Billing commences automatically at the end of the trial period unless the subscription is canceled beforehand.
Disclaimer: You expressly agree that your use of the Site, Online Courses, and all Content and Services is at your sole risk. The Services are provided on an "As Is" and "As Available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of Liability: In no event shall Educo be liable to you or any third party for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or costs of procuring substitute goods or services.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify the Company (its employees, directors, etc.) against any damage, loss, or expense incurred by them as a result of your use of the Site in violation of these Terms or infringement of any third party's rights.
Termination: Educo may, at its sole discretion, terminate or suspend your account or use of the Site for any reason or no reason, including, without limitation, for breach of these Terms.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction: These Terms of Use shall be governed by the laws of the State of Israel. The exclusive jurisdiction for any claim related to these Terms shall be the courts located in Tel Aviv.
We collect two types of information:
Non-Personal Information: Data that cannot be used to identify you (e.g., IP address, pages viewed, browser software). We use Cookies and Web Beacons for statistical analysis, site operation, and personalization.
Personally Identifiable Information (PII): Information you explicitly provide during registration or service purchase (e.g., name, email address, billing details).
We use PII for:
Service Provision: Administering course enrollment, tracking progress, and sending administrative notices.
Identity Verification: Verifying your identity during proctored exams or assessments (including photographic or video recording).
Sharing with Partners: We may share your PII (grades, assessments, progress) with the relevant Educational Partner (university, sponsoring employer) whose course you are taking, subject to their privacy policies.
Marketing Communications: Sending marketing emails and recommendations (you can unsubscribe at any time).
Security: We implement strict systems and procedures for data security to mitigate risks of unauthorized access. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
Children's Privacy: We do not knowingly collect PII from minors without verified parental consent.
Right to Review and Deletion: Pursuant to the Israeli Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, you have the right to review your data and request the correction or deletion of inaccurate information or information used for commercial solicitation.
